These necklaces are very labour intensive, they start out as a coil of sterling silver wire and a handful of sea glass and swarovski crystals. The sea glass is hand drilled, to turn each into a focal pieces, then the links are hand wired, sea glass then a single  crystal, individually,  until the necklace is completed. No open wires or fastenings, these pieces are made to last many generations, they typically take 15-17 pieces of sea glass, and  14-16 beaded links, because I make the links so small, the piece is really fluid and hangs well. These can be cleaned using silver dip, then warm gentle soapy water from time to time, I have one and it generates plenty of compliments.
